Fiber optic expansion

varioSuite supports carriers and municipal utilities throughout fibre deployment, from planning to activation. Digital processes enable early customer engagement and efficient sales.

Achieve customer loyalty and sales with the first mile laid in fiber optic expansion

Many municipalities and public utilities are working on nationwide fiber optic expansion. But with network expansion, many carriers are faced with the question of how sales and customer loyalty should be carried out as efficiently as possible. A good software solution is required here, with the help of which you can generate sales in the first expansion phase.

Customer loyalty before the groundbreaking ceremony

During the early planning stages of fibre deployment, cities, municipalities and service providers inform residents about future connection options. Information events are often held for this purpose. Prospective customers can be approached and their details recorded for sales. The varioSuite web applications help to record preliminary contracts electronically with little administrative effort. Press releases and the websites of municipalities and carriers can direct customers to registration pages.

First connections during the fiber optic expansion

Fibre deployment is usually planned with common tools such as Tannis or CableScout. Once the connections are installed and activated, however, mapping the network in CRM-compliant software is advantageous. As a network management tool, varioResource maps the network, including control boxes and fibres, and creates a seamless connection to the deployment planning tools.

As soon as the expanding company has completed a route, this is noted in varioResource via a web application. From now on the sales process can begin. Those interested will receive information about the degree of completion of the connection by email or post. Available products and tariffs can also be attached here.

The connection change using WBCI and the ordering of the connection cable via S/SPRI or, if necessary, WITA can be easily carried out in the background via electronic standard interfaces. Customer management in varioCRM can also be set up intuitively and cost-effectively using your specific workflows. The new fiber optic connections are stored directly at the customer via a connection from varioResource to varioCRM. In addition, the customer center can order cables directly and send the order to the technicians via the CRM.

Licensing or managed service?

Which software model suits my fibre deployment? Fibre deployment is often funded by public money, but software systems are not included. The companies carrying out the deployment must therefore choose between a licensing model and a managed service model. White-label services can provide another alternative.

The dimari offers an optimal solution for all options. Just talk to us about it.

Manage network resources – briefly summarized:

You can view the deployment status of a fibre network, including work carried out by subcontractors, at any time in varioResource. The companies carrying out the deployment can update the status in resource management via a web interface. The network operator has access to the progress at all times. This allows the operator to plan and adapt marketing activities and internal processes during deployment and maintain customer records in the CRM. Resource management can include the following functions:

  • Administration and management of passive components from the customer's perspective
  • Image of the connection areas with degree of completion
  • Forwarding initial order data to contractors or subcontractors
  • Flexible authorization concept
  • Individually adapted data model
